Louise Wigram (above) describes herself as ‘a local that dabbles in art when I find time outside of my work as a chemist.’ She continues to integrate her scholarship-winning creativity and deep passion for birdlife in making birds out of discarded cans ‘and my own (admittedly numerous) biscuit packets
- Sandra (above) creates prints using lino, hand-carved rubber stamps and hand-cut stencils, working on paper, card, wood and textiles and is a regular participant in Printopia. Cats and birds are a constant feature of her work with a few other quirky items thrown in to brighten your day.
Says David Bell, ‘Drawing is joyfully alive and well in children’s books, but in ‘literature’ it's as dead as dust. It's as if adults have somehow grown out of being ‘shown’ as well as being ‘told’.
