Raewyn Turner
Your name is Like Perfume
For the past 25 years I’ve been exploring both the fragrance of humans and the perception of fragrance working solo and in collaboration with scientists, artists and often with my husband Brian Harris who is a design engineer.
In these works I’m exploring the smell cyphers arising from global dynamics, economics and technologies.
I’m interested in how the smell molecule affects the mind and in the meanings imparted by molecular cyphers which create radiantly beautiful olfactory illusions.
