Self - Cristina Beth b.1963 (Ngaruāwāhia, NZ) -

I was born in Ngāruawāhia where dad was posted in the Army. I have always been artistic from an early age and love the ocean. I studied at Elam and finished an MFA in my forties with three children as a single mother. I was highly encouraged to study by my mother. I spent many years living in Laingholm on the Manukau Harbour. I always noted the connection across the water to Awhitu Pennisula and my ancestors. I am now living near the Whau River in New Lynn. I run an art restoration business when not making art or playing with my grandbabies. I am still growing my great Grandmothers rhubarb in my large garden.
